The Opera Man- Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler is perhaps one of the funniest actors and filmmakers of our time. There is always a reference to Judaism in many of his movies, and he has created some of the most classic films that we have all watched over a dozen times.
Sandler’s best known for his roles in Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan and countless more!
Adam was born on September 9th, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire. His mother Judith Levine was a nursery school teacher, and his father Stanley Sandler was an electrical engineer.
Adam’s career really took off after being a cast member and writer on Saturday Night Live. He founded a very successful company called Happy Madison Productions, which has made most of his movies to date.
Besides being an actor, Adam is also a talented musician. One of his most well known songs that became a worldwide hit is his Chanukah Song, which he wrote so that Jews would not feel alienated during Christmas time.
In 2003, Sandler married his wife Jacqueline Titone, who converted to Judaism, and together they have two daughters.
Adam is very proud of being Jewish, and it is very evident in all of his work. To say he has had an outstanding career is an understatement.
